RJD Garden Tour

Rick Finneran, RJD’s Lead Gardener gives a 30-minute tour in the garden, addressing design elements, rose care, and the history of the neighborhood. This event is free as part of AHA night.

The Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum was founded in 1985 and is a National Historic Landmark and registered at the Massachusetts Historic Preservation Office, National Register of Historic Places. It includes an 1834 mansion designed by Richard Upjohn and one-acre of gardens.  Exhibitions on the three families and the workers which inhabited the home convey stories about New Bedford's history, life in the 19th and 20th centuries, and whaling’s impact on the world.  The Museum offers general visitation, group tours, events and education programs year-round. RJD also serves the local schools with curriculum-related field trips.
