New Bedford Public Libraries

The New Bedford Public Library System maintains five locations throughout the city: the main library downtown and two branches in the south end, one in the west end and one in the north end, providing library services in populous neighborhoods to youth, families and seniors.

Included in the New Bedford Library system strategic priorities is to offer free services to stimulate the imagination and discovery as well as to build greater partnerships and community engagement.

Participating in 20mi2 movement to celebrate every neighborhood in the 20 square miles in our city aligns with their mission. The Librarians overseeing the two branches on the route, along with the team of Librarians at the Main Library are all excited about participating in this premier event.
